In the framework of the project, FIMA has designed and implemented electronic engineering systems for the entire building, which consist of 250 laboratory rooms. Furthermore, FIMA has fully-equipped nine laboratories (nearly 500 sq m) compliant with cleanroom requirements.

The National Centre of Physical and Technological Sciences (NFTMC) is a unique site in terms of its size, intended purpose, technology, and research equipment. FIMA has provided over 30 engineering systems and 9 laboratories compliant with the very stringent cleanroom requirements in this complex of buildings, which has a floor space of nearly 25 000 sq m.

FIMA specialists have provided a complete technical infrastructure: from the mounting of partitions to the implementation of customised ventilation, de-ionised water supply and electronic systems.

The company has also provided a local water-supply and purification system for the laboratories, which will supply level II cleanliness de-ionised water. Special pipes and water filters have been provided to ensure the supply of this water to the laboratories located on different storeys.

FIMA has provided 150 fume hoods for the laboratories of the research centre. One of the laboratories, which has special requirements, has been provided with a complex technological solution known as organic electronics cluster. The equipment consists of interconnected devices, and all technological operations here are performed in an inert gas atmosphere. The cluster comprises the following three technological units: 1) equipment for casting, metallising, typifying and encapsulating organic compounds in an inert atmosphere; 2) OVD equipment; and 3) an OVPD reactor.

This research cluster will provide an opportunity to design, produce and test organic semi-conductor technologies.

In the framework of the project, FIMA has also implemented communications, power networks, security and fire-extinguishing systems, and will provide a modern data-centre.

Project uniqueness

The project resulted in the implantation of over 30 electronic engineering systems and 250 laboratory rooms, of which 9 laboratories comply with the very stringent cleanroom requirements.
