The improvement and development of infrastructure at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Klaipėda State Seaport was a project of national importance. Within this framework, and following a commission by AB Klaipėdos nafta, FIMA was charged with implementing a new security system at the terminal.
Access control, security and video surveillance systems installed at the LNG terminal are fully and mutually integrated.

On December 3, 2014, after 18 months of construction, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal was finally opened.
FIMA specialists were put in charge of the installation of a fire and gas leakage detection and alarm, integrated video surveillance, security and access control systems.

According to Ričardas Raudys, project manager at FIMA, “the LNG terminal is a facility of strategic importance to Lithuania; so we put it at the top of our priorities. The project itself was unique for us because the working environment was particularly challenging. Since the terminal is situated 700 meters from the pier out on the water, the team could only be taken out to the site by boat. We carried out all the installation and implementation works in parallel with the construction works at the terminal. We were in charge of the assembly of machinery in the terminal buildings on the pier and carried out a number of programming works”.
