  • Wireless communication system
  • Software

The hospital’s mobile warning and communication system allows staff to be precisely and instantaneously located when they send an emergency signal.

FIMA has installed an indoor positioning system at Rokiškis Psychiatric Hospital that will improve staff safety.

Staff who come into contact with patients can summon help at the touch of a button using a watch-sized alarm worn on the wrist.

Pressing the button on the alarm sends a wireless signal to the closest receiver allowing the member of staff calling for help to be located instantly on a map of the hospital on a computer display.

Prior to the FIMA project, the hospital used a series of fixed alarm points in some but not all rooms. Now that all staff who come into direct contact with patients have been issued with mobile alarms, security staff are able to respond to potential incidents in the shortest possible timeframe.

Rokiškis Psychiatric Hospital is the first facility in Lithuania to use an indoor positioning solution to protect staff on premises where GPS systems are ineffective.

The system uses 48 receivers and 56 transmitters.

Testimonials

  • “During all the years that we have worked together, FIMA has never let us down. Its specialists’ no-nonsense approach combined with its consistency in finding the right solution every time are the qualities that we value the most. Our project included finding a technical solution to an issue which had never been attempted in Lithuania before and FIMA was superb in dealing with it.”
