In an effort to optimise its operations and stay focused on its core business– the implementation of smart infrastructure projects –FIMA is selling its distribution business to Lithuanian company AREVITA.

“We are intensifying our focus on our main business, namely public and private infrastructure modernisation projects, where we have gained a market-leading position through our unrivalled experience, excellence and expertise,” FIMA CEO Vytautas Zinkevičius said. He believes that the sale of the electronic system components distribution business is one of the solutions aimed at strengthening and optimising the operations of the entire FIMA Group across the Baltic region.

“Over its 25 years in business, FIMA has developed cooperative partnerships with technology equipment suppliers, built up unrivalled knowledge of this market and won the loyalty of its customers. I wish the companies of AREVITA all the best in further developing this business,” Mr Zinkevičius stated.

“We are delighted with the acquisition because it will enable us to strengthen our position in the market and to expand both our current customer base and the range of products we offer. FIMA’s experience and its position in the market mean that we will be able to generate synergies in the distribution business and so continue to build on this business’s consistent improvements in performance,” Karolis Samušis, the CEO of AREVITA said.

Mr Samušis added that the AREVITA group operates diversified businesses, including manufacturing, trading, distribution and services, and so is looking for consolidation opportunities in each area.

“In negotiations over the sale of the distribution business, we were committed to ensuring that there was no interruption in its activities and that employees’ jobs were secure. Therefore, one of the conditions for the transaction was ensuring the continuity of employment of the staff,” said Mr Zinkevičius.
