The technical infrastructure at Lithuania’s first Hilton Hotel and a nearby business centre which opened in Vilnius this summer was installed by FIMA. While designing and installing the systems at the Hilton Garden Inn in Vilnius city centre, FIMA specialists followed the requirements of the Hilton Brand Book.

‘One of the essential tasks while implementing this project was the quality of the computer and communication network. Hilton’s focus on high customer satisfaction means that great attention is devoted to guest service digitalisation through the computerisation of processes and the application of state-of-the-art intelligent technology which will improve the customer’s experience,’ said Dalius Kiškis, project manager at FIMA. He added that the high level of security and reliability provided by the system coupled with the centrally controlled high-speed wireless data transmission network (WI-FI), will ensure that there is stable, high-speed coverage throughout the buildings as expected by both staff and guests. To ensure the reliable operation of all systems in the building, a Category 6-certified copper and fibre optic structured cabling network backed by the manufacturer’s 25-year warranty has been installed.

To fit out the conference centre, the priority was on the simplicity of all equipment and system management to allow staff to quickly transform and customise the space. The three conference rooms are equipped with modern audio, video and equipment management systems, which can all be controlled centrally from control panels installed in the rooms, or by using portable wireless touch-sensitive devices.

The guest rooms and public zones are equipped with wireless electronic locks that can be integrated with the Hilton’s Digital Key system which can be accessed by guests using a smartphone. The wireless communication, guest entry control systems and the switchboard have been fully integrated with the hotel’s management and accounting system.

For guest security, FIMA has installed fire alarm and public adress systems and a network of high-resolution digital IP video cameras.
