FIMA-equipped data centre gets Tier 3 certificate

Back to News

The data centre of telecom company Teo, equipped by FIMA, has been issued with a Tier 3 certificate, becoming the second centre in Lithuania to attain this status.

FIMA designed and equipped the 500 kW data centre, which contains of 98 server cabinets and features an advanced KyotoCooling system. It uses outside air temperature to cool the servers most of the time and ensures a high level of energy efficiency, putting the data centre‘s Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) ratio at just 1.25.

The Tier 3 certificate means that the data centre‘s operations are not affected even if part of the system is turned off for maintenance or repairs. This is a major component of a data centre‘s reliability.

FIMA employs Lithuania‘s only Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) who holds a Tier III certificate and has the qualifications to design Tier-compliant data centres.
