FIMA, which installed a data centre at Europe‘s tallest TV tower in Riga, has presented its experienced gained in the project at the Nordic Data Centre Forum in Helsinki.

The technical director at FIMA‘s Latvian subsidiary, Aleksandrs Grebezs, presented the challenges, failures and unique solutions implemented at the Latvian radio and television centre, where an advanced data centre was installed in a two-phase project.

In equipping the data centre, FIMA had to adjust its solutions to the unique architecture of the building and ensure a high level of reliability. FIMA installed all the infrastructure required for reliable IT operations, from the partition walls to server cooling and electric supply systems as well as infrastructure monitoring solutions.
