Back to News

FIMA Polska will be responsible for the installation of a power supply system at the University of Silesia (Poland). The company was successful in a tender published by the university on the security of the power supply to its particularly important IT infrastructure. FIMA will now install cable channels between buildings at Silesia University, lay telecommunication and power cables, install power distribution facilities as well as a BMS monitoring and visualisation system.

The project is part of a wider effort to analyse and archive data (PAAD) which is underway at the University of Silesia and will use best practice on the management of research data. The software features a user-friendly data processing interface as well as associated calculation resources; data analysis will form part of research in the fields of geology, biology, physics, and chemistry.

The University of Silesia is a leading member of a consortium (which includes the W. Trzebiatowski Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences).
