FIMA to equip a backup data centre for the Polish Seym

Back to News

FIMA has signed an agreement with the Seym of the Republic of Poland to design and build a backup clerical data centre worth more than PLN 2,500,000 (about EUR 585,494).

“We are extremely pleased that despite the high competition in the market we have managed to attract the attention of this particularly significant customer. All we have to do now is meet its demanding requirements. We expect to complete the project in the third quarter of next year (2015),” director of FIMA Polska, Robert Zdunek, said.

As part of the project, FIMA’s engineers will develop a technical design, reinforce the centre’s structures, rearrange existing facilities and construct raised floors and cabinets for system hardware which will be divided into cold and hot zones. They will also install an energy-efficient conditioning system, security and gas-based extinguishing systems and a LAN (using copper and fibre optic cables) as well as electrical wiring.

In 2014, FIMA signed a few other important agreements to design and equip data centres in Poland, including with companies like GK Orange, Lasy Państwowe and Dalkia.
