FIMA is responsible for safety of the guests and building management in a new, cutting-edge sports and entertainment area in Gliwice. The centre includes a podium arena with a seating capacity of more than 15,000. The facility will include the main arena, training hall and a multi-storey car park. All of the work was completed on schedule in August 2016.

FIMA Polska signed a contract with Mirbud S.A., the general contractor for the Podium arena in Gliwice, to install intelligent engineering systems.

Vytautas Zinkevičius, FIMA’s Director for Development, said: “This was a key project for us in Poland where we have been able to demonstrate both our expertise and potential. The partnership with a top Polish construction company will up open new opportunities for us in that market.”

FIMA Polska will install fire alarm and security systems at the Podium arena in Gliwice as well as setting up access control and video surveillance equipment. The company has also agreed to install sensors to detect leaks of carbon monoxide and gas, a warning system and mass information sound system and equipment.

All the building’s engineering systems will be consolidated in BMS – a single building management system and this work will also be undertaken by FIMA.
