FIMA’s daughter company in Belarus, FIMA BR, has moved to new premises. The company is renting its new office from another Lithuanian business, ERGO insurance group, which operates in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Both companies are now sited in the same building.

A much greater volume of work and a growing team of professionals created the need for more spacious facilities. FIMA now employs 50 people while the value of signed contracts grew sevenfold during 2013.

Last year, FIMA signed its largest contract to install engineering systems for a Qatari investment project, which includes the construction of a Marriott hotel. This year, a joint team of 70 specialists from FIMA and FIMA BR installed more than 20 engineering systems in Belarus’ largest and Europe’s fifth biggest water park which was opened in May in Minsk. The park’s new solutions include a unique drowning prevention system and a video surveillance system of enormous scope.

FIMA aims to continue expanding business in Belarus and intends to reinforce its position in developing solutions for data centres, the transport sector, communication and other infrastructure solutions.
