The intelligent engineering solutions company Fima has started cooperation with American company Eaton, which is the global leader in manufacturing uninterrupted power supply (UPS) equipment. Fima is currently in a position of offering the Lithuanian and the Latvian markets highly efficient and reliable UPS solutions designed to satisfy the needs of private business and the public sector.
“Information technology finding increasingly wide application around the globe, more and more business and public sector processes rely on its dependable operation. One of the most disruptive factors as far as IT operation is concerned – power failures. Therefore, institutions and companies that are involved in compiling and storing important data need uninterrupted supply or power to the systems,” says Vytautas Zinkevičius, Fima’s Business Development Director.
According to Zinkevičius, Fima chose to represent Eaton because the hardware made by this American company has very clear technological advantages that guarantee both high level of reliability of uninterrupted power supply and their superior cost efficiency as well.
The uninterrupted power supply hardware from Eaton first of all is compact and takes up very little room. On top of that, thanks to the high efficiency indicators of Eaton’s equipment, its UPS devices do not need to be very powerful to guarantee uninterrupted supply of power to specific hardware.
The UPS hardware has special technology to charge the batteries, which preserves batteries used for uninterrupted power supply, prolonging their service lifespan by up to 50 per cent as compared to conventional uninterrupted power supply systems.
Individual UPS devices within high-capacity uninterrupted power supply systems are linked together using the special HotSync parallel connection technology – this type of connection does not require additional devices, reducing the feasibility of system failure to 0.1 per cent, and making the entire system scalable.
Uninterrupted power supply equipment is a must for every company, but is of extreme significance to companies and establishments that require a particularly high degree of protection against power supply failures: data centres, healthcare institutions, automated production lines, telecommunications operators, naval navigation systems, etc.
