Fima has for the first time participated in the national contest Innovation Award and together with other six Lithuanian companies won the title of the Innovative Company.

This award is the acknowledgement that Fima has been successfully applying innovative management methods in its activities and can always find and offer its customers modern solutions that have never been applied in Lithuania.

Innovation Award is the annual contest aiming at fostering the entrepreneurial thinking, technological development and providing a possibility for enterprises to self-assess their competitiveness and innovativeness. Companies that are registered and operating in Lithuania may take part in the contest.

This year the organizers of the contest were pleased by the rising interest in the contest and serious participants’ attitude towards innovations. Applications for participation in the contest were submitted by 76 companies.

The winners of the contest were awarded at the celebratory event on December 18. The winners were awarded with diplomas, statuettes, and the right to use Innovation Award logo for the purposes of marketing of the enterprise.

The annual national contest Innovation Award is organized by the Public Institution Lithuanian Innovation Centre and the Lithuanian Confederation in Industrialists. The contest is supported by the Ministry of Economy and the Enterprise Europe Network.

The Innovation Award is not the first prize that Fima has received this year. For its unique security system installed on the Būtinge Oil Terminal Fima was awarded the medal For Merits to Business in the category Presentation of the Innovative Product to the Market at the competition organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania.
