“Fima” is expanding in Latvia

The Lithuanian capital company of electronic engineering solutions “Fima” has established its Latvian subsidiary in the capital Riga – SIA “Fima”. The company in the neighbouring country will provide the same security, telecommunications, data transmission and automation services for the leading private enterprises and public organizations as it does in Lithuania.

The company will be oriented towards complex projects that require sophisticated engineering knowledge. These are large-scale projects worth over 1 million Litas. Million worth projects make up 80% of the total income of the Lithuanian company.

“The situation of the Latvian market is similar to ours, i.e. there is much demand for complex engineering solutions in business enterprises and public sector. Therefore, we think that our experience and potential will be efficiently used in implementing large-scale projects both in Lithuania and the neighbouring country. Our goal is to develop as powerful enterprise in Latvia as it is in Lithuania and become leaders of our field of activity in the Baltic States,” says Gintaras Juknevicius, Managing Director of “Fima”.

The Latvian company will actively participate in tenders for implementation of Schengen Agreement requirements. There are great activity prospects related to implementation of other EU and NATO projects in the nearest future.

“We have employed a number of leaders experienced in the field of IT and engineering solutions who will be responsible for rapid growth of the company and organize the team of local professionals in the Latvian company. Nevertheless, we are going to send the Lithuanian experts for implementation of the agreed projects in the nearest future,” says G. Juknevicius.

The company has implemented thousands of projects of various sizes and complexity over 15 years of its activity in Lithuania. Over a half of 100 leading enterprises in Lithuania are the clients of “Fima”. There are also a lot of projects implemented in the public sector. To fulfil the Schengen conditions for accession countries, “Fima” completed the first stage of border security modernization in October; the company is implementing the projects of territory security at Vilnius Airport, participates in other recent tenders.

The company has 280 qualified professional employees. “Fima” is currently on the list of potential NATO tender participants.
