Back to News

Joint-stock company “Fima” has signed a contract with State Enterprise “Centre of Registers” due to reserve data centre establishment notices a tendency that companies managing large amounts of information and those having the information as their main product recently consider the security of informational data a very important thing.

“This year we have confronted with a significant increase in the establishment of data centres as compared with the previous year. Most of the companies, especially banks, modernized their computer networks within the recent few years, but have noticed that the data centres are the weakest point in the informational systems” claimed Valdas Vrubliauskas, Director of Automation and Data Transfer Solutions of joint-stock company “Fima”. According to V. Vrubliauskas, state enterprises were among the first ones to pay attention to the establishment of data centres and modernization, they were largely influenced by closer relationship with the EU states, the increasing demand of the exchange of the documents. Large companies, which have complicated accounting systems (trading, production, transport companies) also show interest in data safety solutions, as well as the companies to which information is a product (banks, insurance agencies).

The project for the State Enterprise “Centre of Registers” carried out by “Fima” will comprise a very wide spectrum of integrated engineering systems and is unique due to quick establishment period. The works will be carried out within 2 months and the solution for the data centre will comprise the systems for the information transfer, ventilation and conditioning, security, fire safety, environmental monitoring, electricity supply and other systems.

After the establishment of data centres the possibility of loosing data will be decreased to minimum.

According to V. Vrubliauskas, a properly established data centre is the decisive factor for saving the information; therefore, its establishment requires exceptionally high competence in project management and engineering. Joint-stock company “Fima” has already established a data centre for SC “Lietuvos energija” in Vilnius, currently the final works for SC “Lietuvos energija” Kaunas data centre are being carried out and the planning of data centre for Customs informational centre is being executed.

“Small companies will rent data centre services from the providers of data centre services, such as, for example, “Lietuvos energija” and “Baltic data centre”, because it is worth to invest into the establishment of data centres only for companies, having a big amount of office stations,” claimed V. Vrubliauskas.
