In 2019, the companies of FIMA Group successfully implemented a number of significant security, building and transport infrastructure projects: a surveillance system was installed on the EU’s external border at the Lavoriškės station on the frontier between Lithuania and Belarus; rail technology infrastructure was implemented on a rebuilt section of track at Rengė in Lithuania and Liepaja port in Latvia; building infrastructure systems were installed at the Hilton Hotel business centre in Vilnius and at the Akropole shopping mall in Latvia; advanced speed control and warning systems were implemented on the Panevėžys by-pass and road E67 in Latvia.

The intelligent transport system installed on road E67 won a first prize in the New Engineering Structure category at Latvian Construction Industry’s Annual Awards 2018.

Meanwhile, in order to better represent the Baltic interests of its major shareholder – American capital fund MVC Capital – FIMA has become a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania.

By strengthening its focus on its core business – public and private infrastructure modernisation projects – the FIMA Group sold its wholesale business. This was one of a number of decisions taken to increase business efficiency and strengthen the operations of the entire group across the Baltic Sea Region.
