FIMA experts completed the first phase of the data centre project at the university with the installation of a data centre technology room at the IT Development Institute of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU).

FIMA specialists completed the first phase of the data centre project at the university with the installation of a data centre technology room at the IT Development Institute of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU).

FIMA put in place heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, gas fire extinguishing equipment, a data communication network and security and uninterruptible power supply systems to enable continuous operation of KTU servers of the Lithuanian Science and Research Network (LITNET), as well as reliable operation of data communication, switching and control equipment.

The future-proofed data centre is designed to be readily integrated with other systems and technologies in the years ahead and should become the backbone node for provision of KTU information system services.
