On 1st October SIA FIMA, the electronic systems integrator, held a business breakfast in the National Library of Latvia’s new building, where telecommunications technology was discussed. More than 90 participants took part in the event and discussed its theme – UNIFIED COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS. Thanks to FIMA’S co-operation with AVAYA, a world leader in the field, it was possible to give the attendees demonstrations of the technology. At its stand, delegates were able to see the latest solutions in the field of IP-telephony, test wireless Jabra headsets and take part in a real live link-up, which was supported by the Scopia solution for videoconferencing.

“Responsiveness from the participants was really high demonstrating that both the business community and the general public want to know more about innovations and follow the latest news. The opportunity for guests to see and test the technologies themselves was very valuable. We are system integrators, and it is important for people to know that in Latvia they have access to the best technical support for the very latest technologies,” said Janis Vilmanis, Chairman of the Board of Fima.
