FIMA made a significant step in the implementation of Company’s international development strategy. In 2017, the Company entered the Polish railway market and acquired a 67.37% stake in one of the leading Polish railway infrastructure companies KZA (Krakowskie Zakłady Automatyki S.A.). This strategic transaction opens for FIMA opportunities to exploit the exceptional expertise of its specialists in the Baltic region and will help establish itself in one of the largest railway infrastructure markets in Europe and secure long-term growth prospects.

FIMA completed the implementation of a strategically significant project – electrification of the railway track Naujoji Vilnia – state border with Belarus – 28.6 km. This is the first railway electrification project in Lithuania during the past 40 years. FIMA also installed the first average speed enforcement system in the Baltic region.

Avaya, a global communications technology company and long-standing partner of FIMA, granted the Company the status of a Diamond Partner as an appreciation of its consistent work, sales, and qualifications of the Company’s specialists.

Aiming to be an active player in the security and defence market FIMA became a member of the Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association.
